2021 100k On New Years Day and New Years Weekend Rides!

I don’t know about you but I am more than ready to kick 2020 to the curb. So what better way to celebrate the start of a whole new year than with our Annual 100k on New Years Day Ride!

Here’s how it works. The ride starts at Noon from VeloConcepts and the first segment is 35 miles . And the second segment is 27 miles . Each segment will start and end at VeloConcepts. This will allow for a coffee stop and refueling mid-ride. This ride format gives everyone the opportunity to select start time and distance.

11:30 am: Coffee, Pastries & Pre-Ride Registration
12 pm: Segment 1 Starts (35 Miles)
2 pm: Coffee Stop/Refuel at VeloConcepts/18 Grams
2:15 pm: Segment 2 Starts (28 miles)
3:30 pm: Ride Finish & Champagne Toast

After the ride all are encouraged to stick around and celebrate their first 100k in 2021 with a champagne toast.

The map of the routes are here:

And the cycling start to the New Year doesn’t end there! We also have rides planned all weekend too!

Join us Saturday 1/2 at noon for TWO ride options!
For those smooth road inclined we will be hosting a road ride at noon, and for those looking for some gravel, we also have our weekly Coffee + Bike Gravel ride.

Route TBD

So kick off the New Year and join us because Yeah Bikes!

What would be the alternate day since Friday definitely looks like a washout?

Well the New Years Day ride is rain or shine.

But we have rides planned for Saturday and there will probably be a ride on Sunday as well.

Ok thanks Joe

Ok so since many of you have been asking here are the details for Saturday (1/2) ride. Some folks have been asking for a 100k option as well. So here are routes and schedule for get in the 100k.

12 pm: Segment 1 (Dove Road Loop - 25.5 miles)
2 pm: Coffee Stop/Lunch/Refuel at VeloConcepts
2:15 pm: Segment 2 (45 Alanthus/Zion - 45 miles)

There is also a gravel option at noon as well that will allow meet up for the second road segment.

Hope to see you all out there!

So the weather for today took a turn for the worse. We don’t just have rain but sleet and freezing rain which will make the roads just a little bit too slippery for a road ride today.

So out of an abundance of caution we will be cancelling today’s 100k on New Years Day. However we do have a 60 mile option available for tomorrow at noon as part of the Day After ride.

See you all tomorrow.
